New Delhi, Sep 08 (KNO): The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has appealed to its members to contribute towards relief for victims of the recent Monsoon floods that have severely affected Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. In a circular, a copy of which is with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), SCBA Secretary Pragya Baghel has stated that the floods have escalated from a regional to a national disaster, leaving people in affected areas without basic necessities such as food, shelter, and medical care. The Executive Committee of SCBA urged members of the Bar to contribute generously to the “SCBA Calamity Relief Fund,” which will be used exclusively for the relief of flood victims. The circular said that there is the urgent need for support in these states where flash floods have disrupted normal life and affected thousands.
